The chance of getting HPV if you and your partner have never had sex with another person before is small. Nevertheless, HPV infections are also found in women who say they are still virgins, but much less frequently than in women who have had previous sexual contact. Good to know: HPV is also transmitted through intimate contact with fingers, mouth or sex toys.
